A Flexible Competitive Path
The Xcel Team is an alternative optional USAG team program for gymnasts who want a team atmosphere and competition experience with a smaller time and financial commitment than the Developmental Program.
Because Xcel is optional, gymnasts can develop original routines that fit their talents and personalities. Placement is by invitation and coach recommendation for athletes with the required strength, flexibility, skills, and work ethic.
The Xcel divisions are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire.

Pre-Team, Bronze, and Silver introduce gymnasts to the Xcel environment and build the habits needed for competition.
- Pre-Team: Hand-picked from our class program, Pre-Team gymnasts practice at our Issaquah Team Gym. They do not attend formal competitions, but perform the skills and routines they learn at our Mini Nationals events two to three times a year.
- Bronze: The first division in the USAG Xcel Program. Bronze gymnasts attend mandatory meets and the state competition, pay competition and team apparel fees, and complete family volunteer hours. They practice at our Issaquah Team Gym.
- Silver: The second division in the USAG Xcel Program. Silver gymnasts attend mandatory meets and the state competition, pay competition and team apparel fees, and complete family volunteer hours. They practice at our Issaquah Team Gym.
Progress With More Choice
Gold, Platinum, and Diamond gymnasts train multiple days per week at our Bellevue Gym. Each division includes mandatory competitions, competitive fees, team apparel, and family volunteer time.
- Gold: Gymnasts move into Gold after passing our Silver requirements or transition from J.O. Bellevue after meeting the Gold requirements.
- Platinum: Gymnasts move into Platinum after passing our Gold requirements or transition from J.O. Bellevue after meeting the Platinum requirements.
- Diamond: The highest level in the Xcel Program. Gymnasts move into Diamond after passing our Platinum requirements or transition from the J.O. Bellevue team.
