Policies That Keep Gym East Moving

Our policies help every athlete arrive ready to learn, stay safe on the gym floor, and make the most of class time.

Review the details below before registering for a class, wait list, Open Gym, or mini-private. Current schedules and openings are posted in the Parent Portal.

Find The Right Class

Class Registration

Registration for classes and camps is available through the Parent Portal. Create an account, use the class filters to make your selection, and submit your request. Once your request is approved, Gymnastics East will email your confirmation and credit card receipt.

  • Keep the card on your account current. A declined credit card results in a $10 rejection fee.
  • Trial classes are available for a trial class fee when the class has availability. If you are contacted about an opening from a wait list, you may request that your first class be a trial.

Wait-List Policy

  • If a spot opens, Gymnastics East will notify you by email at the address on your account. You will generally have two business days to respond before your child is removed from the wait list.
  • Please do not phone in unless you are having a specific email problem. Calling will not guarantee that you will be offered the opening; responses must be sent by email because wait-list offers are not handled on-site.
  • To check your child’s position, email the appropriate gym: Issaquah Gym or Bellevue Gym.

Come Ready To Move

Dress Code

  • Wear a leotard or comfortable athletic attire. Two-piece outfits and bare midriffs are not permitted. Students may go barefoot or wear gymnastics shoes.
  • Tie back shoulder-length or longer hair. Hard balls, barrettes, and jewelry are not allowed during class, except for stud earrings. This includes knotted strings, beads, nylon bands, anklets, and similar items.
  • Gym clothing may not have buckles, snaps, or zippers.
  • T-shirts must stay tucked into pants when athletes go upside down.
  • Gum, food, and drinks other than water are not allowed during class. Water bottles are welcome.

Open Gym

Open Gym is non-instructional practice and play time for kindergarten-age children through middle school. It is open to current students and the general public. Pre-registration through the Parent Portal is required, and each child must have an account.

  • Open Gym costs $20 per hour or one make-up class token.
  • Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled date to receive a credit or make-up token. Cancellations within 48 hours are not eligible for a credit or token.
  • Tie back long hair and remove socks and shoes before checking in. The Bellevue foam pit is not available during Open Gym.
  • Only one person may use the trampolines or rings at a time. Do not jump from equipment to swing on the rope. Only coaches and students may be on the gym floors.
  • The business office and phone are not open during Open Gym.
One-On-One Coaching

Mini-Privates

Mini-privates are 30-minute, one-on-one sessions with a Senior Coach for children ages 6 through 5th grade. You do not need to be enrolled in a class to schedule one, but you must be current on the $65 annual registration fee.

  • Cost is $50–$60 depending on the coach, and payment is due when you register.
  • A 72-hour notice is required to cancel for credit. There are no refunds or credits for missed mini-privates.
  • Mini-privates are listed and available for registration through the Parent Portal.
