The Xcel Team is an alternative optional USAG team program that meets the needs of many gymnasts by providing a team atmosphere and competition experience without the strenuous time and financial commitment of the more rigorous Developmental program. The optional nature of the program also allows gymnasts to develop original routines that fit their own talents and personalities. Placement in the Xcel team program is by invitation based on coaches recommendation for athletes that have the required strength, flexibility, skill and work ethic. Xcel has 5 divisions; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire.

Pre Team gymnasts are hand-picked from our class program and practice at our Issaquah Team Gym. Our Pre Team do not attend formal competitions, but they do compete in our Mini Nationals events that we host two to three times a year in which they perform the skills and routines they learn to introduce them to competition.

Bronze is the first division in the USAG Xcel Program.  Our Bronze attend mandatory gymnastics meets, along with the state competition. They are required to pay competition and team apparel fees along with doing family volunteer hours. The girls practice at our Issaquah Team Gym.

Gymnasts in our Pre Team along with some transitioning from Level 3 will move into the Bronze program if they meet the requirements. If there are additional open spots, our coaches will hand-pick gymnasts from our class program.

Silver is the second division in the USAG Xcel Program.  Our Silver attend mandatory gymnastics meets, along with the state competition. They are required to pay competition and team apparel fees along with doing family volunteer hours. The girls practice at our Issaquah Team Gym.

Gymnasts in our Bronze program along with some transitioning from Level 3 will move into the Silver program if they meet the requirements. If there are additional open spots, our coaches will hand-pick gymnasts from our class program.

At Gymnastics East, our Xcel Gold team trains multiple days per week at our Bellevue Gym. All Gold team members have passed our Silver requirements to move to Gold or are transitioning from J.O Bellevue and meet the Gold requirements. Xcel Gold attends mandatory gymnastics competitions and require competitive fees, team apparel, and family volunteer time.

At Gymnastics East, our Xcel Platinum team trains multiple times per week at our Bellevue Gym. All Platinum team members have passed our Gold requirements to move to Platinum or are transitioning from J.O Bellevue and meet the Platinum requirements. Xcel Platinum attend mandatory gymnastics competitions and require competitive fees, team apparel, and family volunteer time.

The Diamond division is the highest level in the Xcel Program. At Gymnastics East, our Xcel Diamond team trains multiple times per week at our Bellevue Gym. All Diamond team members have passed our Platinum requirements to move to Diamond or have moved from the J.O Bellevue team. Xcel Diamond attends mandatory gymnastics competitions and require competitive fees, team apparel, and family volunteer time.
