Gym East gymnast Alyssa Strodel has
verbally accepted a full scholarship from the
University of Arkansas as of Feb. 5th, 2008. Alyssa is a 2007 Junior Olympic
National Team Member that placed 3rd in the All-Around in the 2007 J.O. National
Championships. Alyssa was very excited to make the call to Coach Mark Cook at
Arkansas. She has several new routine upgrades that should keep her with a great
shot of staying very competitive in the post season.
March 1st and 2nd will be the next
home meet opportunity to see Strodel in competition at the Battle in Seattle
held at the Seattle Convention Center. For more information on the meet, visit

J.O. National Team Member Kelsi Blalock has verbally accepted a full scholarship
to Oregon State University. Kelsi is starting her 4th year as a level 10 at
Gymnastics East.In 2007 Kelsi placed 2nd at J.O. Nationals and
made the National Team.
Congrats to Kelsi!!!

GYM EAST GYMNASTS WINS 4 USA J.O. NATIONAL TEAM MEMBER SPOTS AND BACK TO BACK
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!
Mason Ohio- This weekend Gymnastics East had a spectacular showing at the 2007
Junior Olympic National Championships. Jennifer Kesler is once again the
National Champion!! She wont the All-Around, Vault, and Bars. She also was 2nd
on the balance beam with a rock solid performance. Jen won the all-around by .50
Jen along with Kelsi Blalock ( 2nd All-Around), Alyssa Strodel (3rd All-Around),
and Dana Bonincontri ( 4th All-Around) are all 2007 J.O. NATIONAL TEAM MEMBERS

GYMNASTICS EAST QUALIFIES ALL LEVEL 9 & 10 GYMNASTS TO NATIONALS!!!
Gym East will be sending 5 level 9 gymnasts to Western Nationals and nine level
10s to J.O. Nationals.
Jennifer Kesler gets the highest All Around score of all Regional Meets Across
